Weekly skateboarding sessions for children and teenagers, from complete beginners taking their first pushes to experienced skaters looking to develop more advanced tricks.
Our coaches work with each skater at their own level, helping them build confidence, learn new skills and enjoy spending time on their skateboard.
Sessions take place at our indoor skatepark, with skateboards and protective equipment available to borrow.
Our courses include:
– Little Rippers: 5-8 years
– Shredders: 8-12 years
– Teens: 12-17 years
– Progressors: Intermediate Skaters | 5-8 years / 8-12 years
– Competitors: Advanced Skaters | 8 – 16 years

Why us?
Quality coaching
Our experienced coaches are passionate about skateboarding and helping young people progress.
We adapt our coaching to each skater, so complete beginners and more experienced skaters can be challenged at the right level.
Our sessions are designed to build confidence, independence and creativity as well as skateboarding ability.
Safe and supportive
Skateboarding involves risk, so learning how to manage that risk is an important part of what we teach.
Our coaches hold DBS checks, we are fully insured and appropriately trained staff hold first-aid qualifications.
Children learn skatepark awareness, how to take turns and how to challenge themselves safely.
Indoor skatepark
Our sessions run at our purpose-built indoor skatepark, designed specifically to help people learn and progress.
That means reliable sessions throughout the year, whatever the weather.

Little Rippers | 5-8 years
Little Rippers is our more structured session for younger skaters.
It is suitable for complete beginners as well as children who already have some skateboarding experience.
Sessions usually begin with a short period of free skating before the group comes together for games, coaching and activities based around a particular skateboarding skill.
Children might work on:
- Standing, balancing and getting comfortable on the skateboard
- Pushing, rolling and stopping safely
- Turning, carving and kickturns
- Riding ramps and different obstacles
- Rolling into ramps and learning to drop in
- Skatepark awareness and taking turns
- Beginner tricks and challenges

Activities are adapted to suit the different abilities within the group, so everyone has something appropriate to work towards.
Little Rippers is particularly good for younger children who benefit from plenty of structure, games and coach-led activities.
Shredders | 8-12 Years
Shredders is a mixed-ability skate club where children have more time to skate independently while still receiving focused coaching each week.
Complete beginners are welcome, so children do not need to have attended another Skate Club before joining.

A typical session includes plenty of coached free skating, giving everyone time to work on what they are interested in, followed a focus on a particular skill, trick or obstacle.
The challenge will be adapted for each skater. One child might be learning how to ride a ramp for the first time while another is working on a more advanced trick using the same obstacle.
Children can work on things such as:
- Pushing, turning and stopping
- Riding ramps confidently
- Dropping in
- Ollies and other flatground tricks
- Kickturns and transition skills
- Using flatbanks, quarter pipes, ledges and rails
- Developing their own ideas and choosing what they would like to learn
Shredders gives children a balance between the freedom to skate with their friends and regular input from experienced coaches.
Progressors: Intermediate
5-8 or 8-12 Years
Progressors is for children who already have a solid foundation in skateboarding and are ready for more focused coaching.
We run separate Progressors groups for younger and older children so that sessions can be appropriate for their age as well as their ability.

There is still plenty of opportunity to skate independently, but coaches can spend more time helping skaters develop specific tricks, overcome sticking points and understand how to take their skating further.
Depending on the group and individual skater, sessions might include:
- Ollies and variations
- Shuv-its
- Rock to fakies and rock ‘n’ rolls
- Axle stalls
- Grinds and slides
- Introduction to kickflips and other flip tricks
- Dropping off ledges
- Using kicker ramps, rails and ledges
- Linking tricks together
Each week’s coaching is differentiated so skaters can work towards their own next step rather than everyone being expected to perform exactly the same trick.
Teen Skate Club
12-17 Years
Teen Skate Club is a relaxed, mixed-ability session where teens can skate together and receive coaching at their own level.
You don’t need any previous skateboarding experience to join.
Some skaters might be learning how to push and turn for the first time, while others might be working on tricks they have been practising for years.
Our coaches can help participants:
- Learn the fundamentals of skateboarding
- Develop tricks that suit their ability
- Get more confident using ramps and obstacles
- Work through tricks they are struggling with
- Learn how to practise effectively
- Develop confidence and independence at the skatepark

The emphasis is on providing a welcoming, judgement-free environment where teenagers can enjoy skateboarding and progress at their own pace.
Competitors
Advanced Skateboard Coaching
Competitors is our advanced session for skaters who already have a strong range of skateboarding skills and want to push their ability further.
You do not have to compete to join.
The group includes skaters who compete at national championship level as well as experienced young skaters who simply want more challenging coaching and the opportunity to skate alongside others at a similar level.
Rather than following a fixed syllabus, coaches work with skaters on the areas that will make the biggest difference to their skating.
That could mean:
- Learning and refining advanced tricks
- Taking existing tricks onto bigger obstacles or transitions
- Developing lines and combinations
- Finding new ways to use familiar obstacles
- Working through tricks that have become a sticking point
- Expanding the range of tricks in their skating
- Developing consistency and style
- Preparing competition runs
- Understanding how to improve a competition score
- Building confidence before attempting something more challenging

For skaters who compete, our coaches can help with run planning, trick selection, consistency and identifying where additional points could be gained.
For those who do not compete, the aim is simply to keep progressing, experimenting and discovering what they are capable of on a skateboard.
